Homme Plissé Issey Miyake launches Spring Series with ESSENTIAL HOMME


  

This past week, ESSENTIAL HOMME partnered with fashion house ISSEY MIYAKE to celebrate HOMME PLISSÉ‘s Spring Series: a special collection of artful menswear colored by suggestive Shunga prints from Japanese history. A project of Mr. Miyake’s own passions, the garments, which playfully range

in erotic illustrations, were celebrated by a special in-store event at Tribeca Issey Miyake in New York City in an evening of fashion, fun, and fascinating history. (Dec 16, 2016)

ESSENTIAL HOMME #EHNYFW 2015 PARTY


  
  

Last night on top of the Gansevoort Meatpacking Rooftop in New York City, Essential Homme hosted its biannual New York Fashion Week kick off party, #EHNYFW, where the magazine’s upcoming February/March 2015 issue starring actor Hugh Dancy was also revealed. A mix of hollywood personalities like Paris Hilton, up-and-comers from the music world such as Joey Bada$$, and fashion photographers, editors, and insiders rubbed elbows and dipped it low to sexy vibes from musician Twin Shadow (George Lewis Jr.) and sister act Angel + Dren on the turntables, as SVEDKA Vodka

and Peroni Nastro Azzurro provided much needed ammunition against the bitter cold outside.Inside, against panoramic views of the city, guests were treated to a special surprise appearance from rapper Chingy, in Essential Homme‘s #TBT tradition, who performed “Holidae Inn,” “Right Thurr,” and other classic hits from the late 2000s. ESSENTIAL HOMME #EHNYFW 2014 PARTY


September 4, 2014, Essential Homme celebrated it’s August/September 2014 issue release, as well as the start of New York Fashion Week, at The Gilded Lily in New York City at an event titled #EHNYFW. Sponsored by Peroni, Boodles Gin, and Dobel Tequila, guests ranged from members of the press to industry influencers and magazine friends such as media personality Perez Hilton, super model River Viiperi, woman about town Tiffany Trump, and musicians and Covergirl brand ambassadors NERVO.

New media artist Matt Starr took over the venue with a series of custom projection sequences that combined the space’s inherent feeling of opulence with fluid movement, a sense of wit, and bursts of light. Dirty

Sugar set up an open-space photo area for printable and digital photographs from the event. DJ Mazurbate controlled the party’s sounds for the evening—that is until around midnight, when rapper Ja Rule treated attendees to a special surprise #ThrowBackThursday performance of three of his biggest hits (“Always on Time,” “Living It Up,” and “Mesmerize), a free-style verse from “Ain’t it Funny,” and a special playing of Disclosure’s “Latch.”

ESSENTIAL HOMME NYC SUMMER PARTY

In June 2014, Essential Homme Magazine celebrated the brand new look of the June/July issue with a special cover party event with guests including advertising partners, top men's fashion bloggers, local media, and magazine subscribers.

Spiff For Men (a high end grooming salon), TapSnap, Noizy Brands, and Reyka Vodka partnered to celebrate the launch of Essential Homme's Summer Issue. The event was held at the brand new venue, Up & Down, located on West 14th Street in NYC and owned by the Butter Group (owners of 1 Oak and Butter Restaurant).

At the event, Spiff For Men provided complimentary services including manicures, shoe shines, and shaves, TapSnap created an interactive photo booth experience, and Reyka Vodka provided their summer signature cocktails for all guests to enjoy.

Over 200 guests were in attendance and were able to preview the issue firsthand and discuss the editorial features and updated style of the latest publication. Bloggers in attendance used social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram to post and share the event using hashtag #essentialhommesummerparty.
